Acquisition opportunities are identified and negotiated by acquisition officers placed strategically throughout the growth areas in the United States. Acquisition officers contact and solicit owners directly rather than waiting for properties to come to the market. They are assisted in the valuation and acquisition process by senior management, overseeing due diligence, legal, financing, asset management and construction. FPA has an efficient acquisition submittal review process, ensuring a quick response to all potential opportunities. Acquisition assets undergo a thorough due diligence process to confirm the physical and legal status of the property and to confirm valuations to secure achievable investment strategies.

Early in the evaluation phase of an acquisition, the debt and equity financing strategy is developed based on a number of factors such as property type, magnitude of renovations, expected hold period, and investor objectives.
